Audit Semi Senior Midlands (Hybrid)

Circa Β£25,000 - Β£32,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Study Support

Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading UK accountancy & advisory group who are continuing to grow across the Midlands and are now looking to recruit an Audit Semi Senior.

This firm supports the SME market with a full service offering including Audit, Accounts & Advisory, Tax, Payroll, Corporate Finance and Business Recovery. With a strong values-led culture, they offer genuine investment in their people through structured training, mentoring and flexible working.

As an Audit Semi Senior, you will support the delivery of audit engagements across a varied client base and gain exposure to multiple sectors. You will work closely with Managers, Directors and Partners, receiving strong guidance and development support as you progress through your ACA / ACCA studies.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assisting with audits and taking responsibility for sections of audit files
  • Preparing audit working papers to a high standard
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory and non-statutory accounts
  • Liaising with internal teams (including Tax) where relevant
  • Supervising junior staff and reviewing work completed
  • Assisting with journals and accounting adjustments
  • Ensuring assignments are completed to agreed budgets and timescales
  • Providing general ad hoc support across the Audit team as required
The Ideal Candidate
  • Part-qualified / studying towards ACA / ACCA
  • Experience in audit within a UK Accountancy Practice environment
  • Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
  • Willing to take on new challenges and develop technically
  • A team player with a strong commitment to quality client service
