A leading UK accountancy & advisory group with a growing presence in Scotland (200+ staff / £15m+ revenue) is looking to recruit an ambitious Audit Assistant Manager.
The firm provides a full service offering to the SME market including Audit, Accounts & Advisory, Tax, Payroll, Corporate Finance and Business Recovery. With a values-led culture (“our DNA”), the business promotes collaboration, flexibility, and career development.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Auditor looking to take the next step towards Audit Manager, joining a growing Scottish Audit team and taking ownership of a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Review audit files and ensure completion to required standards
- Support audit teams on-site and provide training/technical guidance
- Act as key client contact on a portfolio of audit clients
- Manage workflow, deadlines, and engagement progress reporting
- Liaise with internal departments (including Tax) to deliver joined-up service
- Assist Partners/Directors with business development, budgets and proposals
- Support billing activity and ensure fee targets/WIP are managed effectively
- CA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong audit background in UK practice
- Experience supervising junior staff and managing audits
- Strong communication skills and commercial mindset
