Accounts Senior

​Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-established independent firm of accountants in Salisbury who are seeking an Accounts Senior to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who enjoys working in a varied and client-facing role within a relaxed but professional environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders, as well as assisting with tax compliance and general advisory work.

While this role doesn’t come with a clearly defined progression route, it’s ideal for someone seeking stability and a positive team environment where their experience will be valued.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns

Supporting clients with day-to-day queries and providing accounting advice

Assisting with personal and corporate tax compliance work

Reviewing work of junior staff where appropriate

Requirements:

AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified, or qualified by experience

Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential

Strong technical skills and attention to detail

Confident communicator with good client relationship skills
