Private Client Tax Assistant Manager
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to join a respected and growing professional services firm in the South East. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, work on a variety of personal tax compliance and advisory projects, and develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
The Role
Manage a portfolio of private clients including business owners, families, and high-net-worth individuals.
Deliver high-quality personal tax compliance services and support advisory projects.
Take ownership of workflow, budgets, and client deadlines to ensure smooth delivery.
Keep technical knowledge current through regular training and by monitoring legislative developments.
Collaborate across departments to provide joined-up client service and share technical insights.
Attend client meetings, contribute to planning discussions, and help identify opportunities for added value.
Review the work of junior staff and support their technical and professional development.
Oversee billing and WIP management to maintain profitability and efficiency.
About You
Qualified ATT/CTA (or equivalent), or qualified by experience.
Strong track record in personal or private client tax within a professional practice.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
Attention to detail, proactive mindset, and confidence managing complex workloads.
