About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mixed Tax Manager or Senior Tax Advisor to join a growing independent accountancy practice. The firm is known for delivering high-quality, partner-led service across corporate and personal tax, working with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and family groups.
This is a broad, hands-on role covering both corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory work, offering excellent variety, autonomy, and career progression within a supportive, people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.
Review and finalise corporation tax computations, returns, and personal tax submissions.
Provide advisory support on a range of tax matters, such as:
Business restructures and incorporations
Capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning
R&D tax relief and capital allowances
Share schemes and remuneration planning
Succession planning for family-owned businesses
Support directors and partners with complex advisory projects and HMRC correspondence.
Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance and mentoring.
Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to client relationship development.
About You
ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in both personal and corporate tax.
Proven experience managing a portfolio of tax clients within practice.
Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of tax areas.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Commercial awareness and confidence to discuss planning opportunities with clients.
Able to manage multiple deadlines and work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
Experience with advisory work, such as reorganisations, property transactions, or share-related issues, would be an advantage.
