The firm is known for delivering high-quality, partner-led service across corporate and personal tax, working with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and family groups.

This is a broad, hands-on role covering both corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory work, offering excellent variety, autonomy, and career progression within a supportive, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.

  • Review and finalise corporation tax computations, returns, and personal tax submissions.

  • Provide advisory support on a range of tax matters, such as:

    • Business restructures and incorporations

    • Capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning

    • R&D tax relief and capital allowances

    • Share schemes and remuneration planning

    • Succession planning for family-owned businesses

  • Support directors and partners with complex advisory projects and HMRC correspondence.

  • Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance and mentoring.

  • Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to client relationship development.

About You

  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in both personal and corporate tax.

  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of tax clients within practice.

  • Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of tax areas.

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

  • Commercial awareness and confidence to discuss planning opportunities with clients.

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Experience with advisory work, such as reorganisations, property transactions, or share-related issues, would be an advantage.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience).

  • Hybrid working – typically 2–3 days per week from home.

  • Flexible hours and genuine work–life balance.

  • 25+ days annual leave, plus bank holidays.

  • Contributory pension scheme and life assurance.

  • Study support for further tax qualifications (if applicable).

  • Clear route for progression to Senior Manager level.

  • Friendly, collaborative culture with open access to partners.

Why Join

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional seeking the next step in their career within a forward-thinking firm that values people, professional development, and long-term client relationships. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of technical tax work, with the flexibility and autonomy to shape your role around your strengths and interests.
