Assistant Tax Manager – Corporate / Mixed Tax

Location: Flexible across the UK (Hybrid Working Available)

We’re working with a respected mid-tier accountancy and advisory firm with offices across the UK. The firm supports a wide range of clients — from growing owner-managed businesses to established groups — and is known for its approachable culture and focus on developing people.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced tax professional to step into an Assistant Manager position, managing a varied portfolio of clients and delivering a mix of compliance and advisory work.

You’ll take ownership of client relationships, help identify tax planning opportunities, and play an active role in developing the wider team. It’s a hands-on role that offers real variety and the chance to make an impact within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate and mixed tax clients

• Review tax computations and returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships

• Keep clients informed on key legislative changes and how they might be affected

• Support advisory and planning projects as needed

• Supervise and review the work of junior team members

• Work closely with senior management to deliver a high-quality, efficient service

About You

• CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA qualified (or equivalent experience)

• Background in corporate or mixed tax within a professional practice

• Comfortable managing client relationships and reviewing technical work

• Organised, detail-focused and commercially minded

• Keen to progress and contribute to the growth of the team
