A highly regarded and ambitious North West firm in Widnes is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and detail-focused audit professional to take ownership of assignments from planning through to completion, mentor junior staff, and build strong, lasting client relationships within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

The Role

Lead audit assignments for smaller and medium-sized clients from planning to completion.
Take responsibility for key audit sections on larger engagements, including complex areas such as stock, deferred tax and related party transactions.
Prepare audit planning documentation, analytical reviews and going concern assessments.
Review the work of junior team members, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients on smaller audits, resolving queries efficiently and professionally.
Prepare high-quality, and where required, more complex tax computations.

About You

Experienced in managing audits within a practice environment.
Confident leading and motivating junior staff.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credible client relationships.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Professional, commercially aware, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and projects effectively.
