Accounts Manager - Esher

Clark Wood have been instructed by one of the UK's most respected professional services firms to recruit an ambitious and driven Accounts & Tax Manager/ Client Manager to join their local Esher office based in the heart of Surrey.

​

The role is a significant recruit for the firm and genuinely offer the successful candidate the chance to progress into a Senior figure within the firm.

​

Are you currently working as an Accounts Senior/ Supervisor or Assistant Manager and want to progress? Or are you an experienced Client Manager at a small independent firm looking to add to your CV and technical accounting knowledge?

​

As a Client Manager you will be responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of small-medium business clients and will act as first point of contact to those clients on behalf of the firm. You will be charged with ensuring the efficient and accurate completion of the year-end accounts process for each of your clients through the preparation, review and finalisation of statutory accounts as well as overseeing the taxation aspect for your client portfolio, personal and corporate tax returns and advice, VAT etc.

You will assist in the development of junior staff through delegating work to them, reviewing it once completed and being on hand to assist and offer guidance where required.

​

Commutable distances from Esher are areas all across Surrey and South London, Leatherhead, Woking, Egham, Farnborough, Cobham etc.

​

The ideal candidate for the role will be ACA / ACCA Qualified and will have relevant and recent experience of working within a Business Services/ Accounts/ Tax focused role in practice (individuals at the latter stages of their studies will also be considered). Prior experience of managing a portfolio of clients and also some audit exposure would be beneficial however it is not essential.
