Audit & Accounts Senior – Shrewsbury

Clark Wood are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury who are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will take on a varied role with exposure to a broad and diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, managing tax compliance work, and leading audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will play a key role on audits, supervising fieldwork and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

You will liaise directly with clients, building strong professional relationships, and will support and mentor junior members of the team, helping to develop their technical skills and confidence. You will also be involved in audit planning, risk assessments, and discussions around audit strategy and fraud considerations.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearing qualification), with recent experience in a mixed audit and accounts role within an accountancy practice. You will have proven experience leading audit assignments, strong technical knowledge, and good communication and organisational skills.
