Specialist Accountancy Practice recruitment consultancy, Clark Wood, are delighted to be working with this leading and distinguished firm of chartered accountants in Burnley as they look to add an Accounts & Audit Manager to their established and growing team.
This highly reputable and progressive firm have an excellent presence across the region, and as a result of sustained growth and success, they are now keen to add a personable and professional Accounts & Audit Manager who can help to enhance their excellent reputation through the delivery of the highest level of client service to some of the firm’s premier clients.
Based just outside of Burnley, you will work directly with the Partners and will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients from a broad range of industry sectors. This will primarily be made up of limited companies as well as some group structured entities and will include corporate businesses as well as some charities and not for profit clients.
Aside from the client management responsibilities the successful person will also contribute to the day to day management and training of staff. This will include being involved with staff reviews throughout the year to ensure continuous development for individual team members.
You may also have involvement with business development activities including presenting to new and existing clients with a view to winning new business for the firm.
The ideal individual for the role will be ACA / ACCA qualified with around 3-5 years PQE and will have a wealth of audit experience from an established practice background with previous staff management experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of audit clients, primarily focused on OMB audits for medium-sized companies or groups.
Oversee one of the larger medium-sized companies with several subsidiaries.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the audit team.
Flexibility to handle accounts preparation clients.
Get involved in professional training and mentoring if desired.
