Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood is working with a prestigious, renowned firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit Manager to their team in Banbury.

Our client is looking to recruit a professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA) and/or experienced Audit and Accounts Manager for our Banbury Office.

To be considered candidates should have the relevant Audit and Accounts technical experience and competence.

An RI qualification would be desirable but not essential.

As an Audit Manager you will play an integral role in the continued success and growth of the Banbury office.

You will be responsible for the management and development of a diverse portfolio of clients for whom you will be responsible for ensuring that all compliance regulations are met. You will be tasked with building and nurturing long-term client relationships with both new and existing clients.

Managing multiple audits at any given time, you will be responsible for ensuring that each assignment is adequately resourced, making sure that staff have everything required to meet the excellent service levels which the clients are accustomed to.

You will be responsible for reviewing the planning, field work, and completion of statutory audit assignments for clients including substantial group structured entities and those from specialist sectors. Completing assignments for clients under your control for partner/director review will be an important aspect of the role, highlighting any issues for discussion with the client ahead of key meetings and presentations.

You will also be involved in staff management and will be tasked with aiding in the training and development of the audit team. You will make sure staff are suitably trained and supervised and provide feedback to them at the end of each assignments whilst you will also be in charge of carrying our periodic appraisals with audit team members.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified and will have experience of managing the audit process for multiple clients. Given that liaising with clients is a key facet of the position, any successful individual in the role must be an excellent communicator with a personable and professional manner being key.
