Specialist Accountancy Practice recruitment consultancy Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a highly regarded and distinguished firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit & Accounts Manager to join their Stoke on Trent office.

From their base in Stoke, the firm has an excellent presence across the wider Staffordshire and they are able offer individuals the opportunity to work with a diverse array of interesting clients including stand-alone limited companies and group structured entities.

The firm are now keen to add an experienced and driven Audit & Accounts Manager who can help to continue to enhance their excellent reputation through the delivery of the highest levels of client service.

As a Manager you will work directly with partners and will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients from a broad range of industry sectors, taking responsibility for the provision of services to each of your clients and ensuring that excellent levels of service and client satisfaction are maintained.

This will be varied role which will see you involved in providing a full service offering to clients across Audit, Accounts and Tax work.

You will be responsible for managing the audit process for clients under your control from planning through to completion, ensuring the deployment of appropriate staff levels for each assignment, and ensuring each assignment is completed in line with all agreed budgets and timescales.

You will also be responsible for preparing complex accounts and reviewing those completed by junior members of staff. You will be involved with tax work as well as part of the role, taking an active role in reviewing both corporate and personal tax returns.

Aside from the client management responsibilities the successful individual will also contribute to the day to day management and training of staff.

You may also be involved in business development activities including presenting to new and existing clients with a view to winning new business for the firm.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA qualified and will have experience of working in a mixed audit and accounts position within an established practice with previous client management experience being preferred. The role could be an excellent fit for either an individual with existing Managerial experience or, for someone looking to make a step up from a Supervisor or Assistant Manager style position.
