Specialist Public Practice & Tax recruiters Clark Wood are working with a highly reputable firm of chartered accountants is seeking to recruit a VAT & Indirect Tax Senior to join the Tax team in their Bristol office.

Reporting to the VAT Partner, the successful candidate will be responsible for their own portfolio of clients, undertaking VAT compliance work and assisting the Partner with consultancy assignments

Within this leading firm there will be genuine scope for career progression to Manager Level and beyond in future.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The purpose of the role is to pro-actively grow the VAT practice and provide a specialist and comprehensive VAT compliance and advisory service to all business clients to minimise their VAT liabilities and compliance issues, and to identify tax planning opportunities.
Assume a leading role in the development of the VAT team to grow the business through marketing events, and assisting with the expansion of the VAT client base.
Supervision of, and delegation to, junior members of staff
Liaise with partners / managers to ensure clients VAT issues are managed
Practical experience of VAT issues, either through tax environment or HMRC background
Research the client database and identify opportunities for fee generation
