Senior Manager - Associate Director or Director – Private Client Tax (CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA)
Location: Southampton / Hampshire | Hybrid & Flexible Working

As the business continues to expand, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Tax Associate Director to join the team in a key leadership role.
The Role
As Associate Director, you’ll play a central role in managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, delivering a mix of personal tax compliance and advisory work. You’ll take responsibility for maintaining client relationships, supporting strategic tax planning, and mentoring more junior members of the team.
You’ll have the autonomy to lead projects, contribute to business development and shape the future direction of the private client offering within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of high-net-worth and entrepreneurial clients
Oversee the delivery of complex personal tax compliance and advisory assignments
Identify tax planning opportunities and provide tailored advice
Build strong relationships with clients, offering proactive and commercial solutions
Work closely with senior leadership to support growth and client development
Lead, coach and review the work of the private client tax team
Contribute to process improvement, team performance and quality control
About You
CTA, ACA, ACCA or CA qualified (or equivalent)
Proven experience managing a portfolio of private client tax cases within practice
Strong technical knowledge across personal tax and wider private client matters
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Commercially minded with a collaborative, hands-on approach
Comfortable working autonomously in a flexible, hybrid environment
