Our client is a leading International mid-tier Chartered Accountancy and Business Advisory firm. The National Tax Department provides technical support to the firm's Tax Faculty and includes a team of Technical Staff covering the range of UK taxes on which the firm advises.

The Manager / Senior Manager will report in to the National Director of Tax and will work closely with the firm’s Head of Tax and other partners and senior members of our tax team.
 
The principal responsibility of the Technical Consultant is to ensure an up to date knowledge (including details of legislative proposals, consultations etc.) in respect of tax law and practice in their allocated specialist area(s) in order that National Tax is in a position to support the issue of appropriate guidance on technical issues that impact on the Tax Faculty and the firm's business and clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Tax technical research and support to client teams
Compliance with the requirements of the ICAEW and other tax provisions
Leading quality assurance/file reviews
Preparing documentation to support tax advice delivery
Preparing of Tax Budget commentary
Attending relevant meetings with HMRC and related bodies
