Qualified Accountant – Ross-on-Wye

Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Ross-on-Wye who are seeking a qualified accountant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to achieve a genuine work-life balance within a relaxed and friendly working environment. Working closely alongside the Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accounting and taxation services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities
* Preparation and review of Statutory Accounts
* Preparation and review of Self Assessment Tax Returns
* Corporation Tax compliance
* Payroll processing and review
* Preparation and submission of VAT Returns
* Reviewing work completed by other members of staff and providing guidance where required
* Supporting clients via email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings

While hybrid working is available, the successful candidate will be required to spend part of their time working from the firm's Ross-on-Wye office. As such, the role would be particularly well suited to candidates based within Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, or Monmouthshire.

Requirements
* ACCA, ACA or AAT qualified
* A minimum of 3 years' experience within a UK accountancy practice
* Strong knowledge of Excel and cloud-based accounting software
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Experience reviewing the work of colleagues and providing technical support where required
* Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
