Public Sector Audit Assistant Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of assignments in the public sector, including statutory audit and consultancy work, with the opportunity to travel within the UK and abroad.

As a Public Sector Audit Assistant Manager with this national firm, you will have an excellent opportunity to work on the National Audit Office assignments, providing a high quality service to clients in respect of the preparation and audit of statutory accounts and on occasions, other ad hoc assignments.

The Public Sector department has expanded rapidly over the past few years on the back of successful projects carried out on behalf of UK central government and international funding institutions, such as the European Commission.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

Working on a mix of statutory audit of government organisations for the National Audit Office and consultancy work in central government.
Consultancy assignments are likely to be in central government as well as the wider public sector and will include internal audit, contract reviews, fraud investigations, IT audit and spend analysis recovery services.  
The Public Sector department is also a large provider of services to the European Commission and a number of UN agencies, providing audits of international development expenditure and occasional foreign travel may be part of the role.
The group provides a wide range of services including; accounting and administration services, project financial management, audit, public sector audit, specialist audit, consultancy and advisory

Skills:

ACA / ACCA / CIPFA/ CIMA / CA Qualified
