Personal Tax SeniorGuildford, Surrey | Salary DOE
A respected independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Guildford is looking to recruit an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join its growing private client team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ATT or CTA qualified professional, or an experienced QBE candidate, with a strong background in personal tax within accountancy practice. You will manage a varied portfolio of private clients, trusts and partnerships, providing high-quality compliance and advisory support.
The role offers regular client contact, exposure to a broad range of personal tax matters, and the opportunity to work closely with Managers and Partners in a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including individuals, trusts and partnerships
  • Preparing and reviewing Self-Assessment tax returns
  • Liaising with HMRC and handling client queries
  • Supporting personal tax advisory work, including CGT, tax planning, residence and domicile matters
  • Assisting Managers and Partners with advisory projects and HMRC enquiries
  • Supporting and developing junior members of the tax team where required
  • Ensuring compliance deadlines are met and high service standards are maintained
Skills & Experience
  • ATT or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous personal tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and client relationships effectively
  • Proactive approach with a genuine interest in developing within private client tax
