Clark Wood are currently recruiting for a Personal Tax Senior to join a respected independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers based in Andover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Tax Senior, Personal Tax Semi Senior or experienced Tax Assistant looking to develop their career within a growing Private Client Tax team.

Working closely with the Personal Tax Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients while providing a high-quality compliance service and supporting with advisory work. The role also offers the opportunity to take on supervisory responsibility, supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members.

As a Personal Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients including individuals, directors, landlords and sole traders.
Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns and associated tax computations.
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, handling queries and providing support on personal tax matters.
Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met and work is completed accurately.
Assisting with personal tax planning and advisory assignments where required.
Supporting and overseeing junior members of the tax team.
Reviewing work completed by junior staff and providing guidance to aid their development.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

ATT / CTA qualification or be qualified by experience.
Previous experience working within a Personal Tax department in a UK accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of personal tax compliance and Self Assessment.
Experience managing client relationships and handling queries independently.
Confidence reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
