​Specialist Public Practice recruiters, Clark Wood, are currently working with a highly regarded and forward-thinking independent firm of accountants in Beaconsfield who are looking to recruit a driven Personal Tax Senior to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a personal tax professional—whether ATT or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)—to join a supportive and established firm with a diverse client base and a strong local presence. The successful individual will take on a key role in the firm’s personal tax department, managing a varied portfolio of clients and handling both compliance and advisory work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing a personal tax portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns

  • Preparing and reviewing self-assessment returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts

  • Advising clients on a range of personal tax issues including capital gains, residence, and inheritance tax

  • Assisting with HMRC enquiries and liaising directly with clients and tax authorities

  • Supporting junior staff and reviewing their work when appropriate

  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and working closely with the wider team on advisory projects

The Ideal Candidate:

  • ATT and/or CTA Qualified or QBE with solid experience in personal tax

  • Strong understanding of current UK personal tax legislation

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload

  • Experience using tax software such as IRIS, CCH, or similar
