Location: Newport
Salary: Circa £44,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Are you an experienced Personal Tax Manager looking for a new opportunity? We are currently assisting a prominent independent firm of chartered accountants in Newport in their search for a talented individual to join their dynamic team. This role involves working closely with partners and leading a dedicated team of Tax Seniors and Trainees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Return Management: Oversee and review tax returns prepared by your team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

  • Advisory Services: Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio.

  • Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering comprehensive tax advice.

  • Identify Opportunities: Recognize and suggest additional services for clients, collaborating with specialists as needed.

  • Team Mentorship: Support and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and training to foster their development.

  • Portfolio Management: Take ownership of client portfolio management, including billing and debt collection.

  • Business Development: Engage in business development activities and contribute to internal Tax Technical Training sessions.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Qualifications: ATT or CTA qualified with significant experience in Personal Tax within a practice environment.

  • Client Management: Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients while ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality service.

  • Leadership: Prior experience in guiding and managing junior team members is advantageous.
