Outsourcing / Management Accounts Technician

Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with an established and progressive independent firm of accountants in Newcastle Upon Tyne who are now looking to add a Management Accounts Assistant / Technician to their Outsourcing team.

The workload will be varied and the successful individual’s role will primarily focus on assisting with the preparation of management accounts, but will also include completing bookkeeping work, and preparing VAT returns.

The successful candidate will have experience of preparing management accounts for external clients within a practice environment. You will have experience of undertaking bookkeeping work for clients and of carrying out month end adjustments such as accruals and depreciation.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified or may be working towards the completion of Levels 3 or 4. Individuals who are qualified by experience will also be considered.

Strong experience of using popular accounting software packages such as Sage and Xero are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation of management accounts
Undertaking client bookkeeping work
Maintaining cashbooks
Preparation of VAT returns
Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Attending client premises as required
Providing accounting advice and support to clients

Skills

AAT Qualified / Part Qualified (QBE will also be considered)
Management accounts experience is essential
Experience of working in a practice environment is essential
