  • Liaise with HMRC to resolve queries and manage compliance matters.

  • Review and control chargeable time to ensure profitability and efficiency.

  • Prepare and submit accounts and tax returns for approval and filing.

  • Support client onboarding: preparing fee proposals, issuing engagement letters, and managing setup.

  • Assist with credit control and client billing processes.

  • Work effectively with outsourced teams and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and quality output.

  • Prepare charity accounts and medium-sized company accounts where applicable.

  • Audit experience is desirable but not essential.

About You

  • 5–10 years’ experience in UK practice (essential).

  • Strong working knowledge of Sage suite (SAPA, CT, IT, Partnership, Trusts) – highly desirable.

  • Excellent technical accounting and tax knowledge with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.

  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.

  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.

  • Must live within a 45-minute commute of the office.
