Our client, a dynamic firm of Chartered Accountants in Worcester, specialises in supporting small and medium-sized owner-managed businesses (OMBs). They are currently seeking an Accounts & Tax Manager to oversee a diverse client portfolio and ensure the accurate and timely completion of all compliance work.
Role Overview This is a client-facing role ideal for an experienced professional with expertise in Accounts and Tax. You will manage a portfolio primarily comprising OMBs and SMEs, delivering high-quality service while supporting and mentoring junior staff where required.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs
Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
Complete personal and corporate tax returns accurately and on time
Provide guidance and support to junior team members
Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery
Identify opportunities for advisory work within the client portfolio

Candidate Requirements

ACA/ACCA qualified preferred; AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) considered
Strong experience in a client-facing accounts and tax role
Experience managing SMEs and owner-managed business clients
Proficient in preparing personal and corporate tax returns
Excellent organisational, communication, and client relationship skills
