Audit Assistant Manager - Milton Keynes

Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly reputable, UK Top 10 firm of accountants who are looking to add to their growing team.

This role offers a rare balance of interesting general practice work, interesting business advisory projects, accounts preparation, tax & auditing work – it would put you in good stead for the future professional development. You would also be gaining exposure to a diverse client base including SMEs, OMBs, International groups and some AIM listed clients.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified and ideally have some supervisory experience, reviewing work and mentoring junior staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

Act as an advisor to owner managed businesses on a range of accounts and business issues
Leading of audit assignments (from planning through to conclusion) for significant audit engagements including supervision of staff and client management
Review work prepared, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards/requirements
Monitor budget and understand commercial aspects involved such as billings and collections
Reporting to the manager/partner in charge
