Expatriate Tax Manager

Our core client base consists of Accountancy Practices ranging from Big 4, Top 10 & Mid-Tier firms through to independent regional firms and sole traders.

With significant new-business wins, this exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly expanding and tax team with the Birmingham office. They are looking for an Expatriate Tax Manager to deliver cross-border compliance and consulting services for internationally mobile individuals. The variety of work and diverse range of global clients offers a satisfying role.

Working in a focused client facing role and you will be involved in a range of tax projects providing tax advice and consulting services to international executives, with an emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with clients.

Client exposure will encompass global groups and listed companies to owner managed businesses and private individuals, where you shall have the opportunity to build and develop lasting relationships. As well as actively participating in an advisory role you shall also be involved with the technical tax work which will allow you to constantly expand and develop your technical skills.

Responsibilities:

Leading and managing your own diverse and interesting client portfolio including advising and guiding them on the planning and implications involved in cross-border working and resolving their queries
Reviewing and signing out expatriate tax returns and conduct entry and exit consultations with senior expatriates
Ensuring delivery of technically excellent and high quality work
Coaching junior staff
Assist in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to marketing and developing new business.

Skills:

ATT/ACA/CA/CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA)
