Are you based in or around Edinburgh with a strong background in Employment Tax?

Clark Wood are recruiting for an experienced Employment Tax Associate to join a national firm of accountants in their Edinburgh office

As an Employment Tax Associate you will be CTA Qualified or studying for the qualification and will either be working within Employment Tax or alternatively will have a very strong Personal Tax background.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing and managing client relationships and the delivery of advice and projects to clients, working as part of a wider team
Researching employment taxes issues and providing advice to clients as part of the wider team.
Assisting clients with employment tax issues related to transactions (and due diligence) including structuring employee plans in the context of company sales, purchases, floatations and other transactions
Providing advice around expenses and benefits planning and cost reduction planning
Assisting clients with employment taxes compliance and dealing with HMRC on their behalf
Advisory work for clients. For example, drafting correspondence to HMRC, participating on annual compliance projects, drafting advice to clients on various employment tax matters and considering the tax implications of proposed remuneration structures.

Skills:

CTA / ATT Qualified.
Employment Tax Experience or a strong interest in this area.
Good Personal Tax Experience.
