Corporate Tax Manager – Peterborough

Clark Wood is recruiting for a Corporate Tax Manager to join an established and growing tax team in Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional looking for a role combining portfolio management, complex compliance work, advisory projects and team leadership.

The Role

As Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of corporate clients while working closely with Partners and Directors.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, including larger groups and complex businesses
- Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and tax computations
- Managing and delivering corporate tax advisory projects
- Providing technical advice on complex tax matters
- Building strong relationships with clients and identifying further opportunities to support them
- Attending client meetings and advising on changes in tax legislation
- Managing workflow across the team and ensuring deadlines are met
- Reviewing and supporting the development of junior team members
- Assisting with proposals, fee quotes and new business opportunities

The Candidate

- ATT / CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy practice
- Experience managing a portfolio of corporate clients
- Confident dealing with complex corporation tax matters
- Previous experience reviewing work and managing or mentoring junior staff
- Strong technical and client-facing skills
- Comfortable getting involved in both compliance and advisory work
