Clark Wood are delighted to be working with this market leading firm of accountants who are looking to recruit a Business Services Senior / Supervisor within their Leeds office.

As part of a team responsible for providing accounting, financial and compliance expertise to a wide range of clients you would play an important role, both through managing your own portfolio of clients as well as supervising the more junior members of the team and reviewing their work as required.

The role will involve the preparation of annual financial statements, management accounts and VAT returns for your diverse portfolio which will include both corporate and non-corporate businesses.

Previous experience working within a practice is essential along with a strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards and excellent client-facing skills. Some staff supervisory experience would also be advantageous, as would experience of managing a portfolio of clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing a varied portfolio of clients
The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involved in some practice development work for the firm and you would be fully supported in these activities

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified
Strong Accounts preparation experience is essential
Strong Financial Reporting Standards knowledge
