Business Services Senior

Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Penrith who are now looking to recruit a Business Services Senior to join their team.

As a Business Services senior your role will predominantly consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, standalone limited companies and group structured organisations. The workload will involve preparation and review of both statutory and management accounts as well as tax compliance and VAT work.

This role offers the incumbent an excellent level of responsibility and autonomy as the successful candidate will be responsible for their own portfolio of clients as well as having involvement in the supervision of junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified and will have relevant experience of working in practice and strong knowledge of financial reporting standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involved in some practice development work for the firm and you would be fully supported in these activities

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified
Strong Accounts preparation experience is essential
Strong Financial Reporting Standards knowledge
