Business Services Director (Accounting & Financial Reporting)

Our client is a nationally recognised & leading regional firm of Chartered Accountants based in Kendal. Due to recent client wins, organic growth and succession planning; they are currently recruiting for a Business Services (non-audit) Director or Partner. This is an incredibly rare opening in the local marketplace. The opportunity offers the individual future Equity Partnership progression.

This position represents significant commercial focus & plays a central role for our client; the successful candidate will be given a huge amount of responsibility & autonomy to expand/ develop the firm's Accounts & Business Advisory presence within the local area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of SMEs, OMBs & entrepreneurial clients; You'll be responsible for overseeing the Accounting department, implementing new procedures to increase efficiencies, increasing profitability of your department and new business development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join an established and forward thinking firm where there will be genuine scope for career development. There is scope for progression to Partnership within a couple of years for the right individual.

Local business contacts are not a prerequisite, but being technically proficient & commercially minded is crucial to this position.

Skills:

ACA/ACCA qualified
Ideally RI (Responsible Individual)
Proven high level financial reporting experience working with OMB's and SMEs
Proven track record in business development and maintaining client relationships
