Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with an established independent firm of accountants in Taporley who are now looking to add a Bookkeeper to their growing team.

The workload will be varied with the successful person’s role involving the completion of client bookkeeping (both in the office and on-site at client premises), preparing and submitting VAT returns, and assisting with the preparation of management accounts

As a Bookkeeper you will have experience of working within practice as experience of dealing with multiple clients is essential. You will have experience of undertaking bookkeeping work and will have experience in the use of online accounting software including Xero, Quickbooks, or FreeAgent.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, Part Qualified or may be qualified by experience and will be competent in the use of Xero.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Undertaking client bookkeeping work
Maintaining cashbooks
Preparation of VAT returns
Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Attending client premises as required
Providing accounting advice and support to clients

Skills

AAT Qualified / Part Qualified (QBE will also be considered)
Experience of working in a practice environment is essential
Experience of using Xero and/or Quickbooks software
