Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a reputable independent firm of chartered accountants in Wisbech who are now looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper to their growing team.
The workload will be varied with the successful person gaining exposure to a wide array of clients for whom you will be assisting with their bookkeeping needs, management accounts and VAT.
The role consists of bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients in various industries using a variety of software packages (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks). In addition to accurate data processing the role requires accurate reconciliation work and VAT return preparation.
The successful individual will have existing experience of working within practice and you will be confident in all aspects of bookkeeping. You will have experience in the use of online accounting software including Xero, Quickbooks, or Sage.
The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, Part Qualified or may be qualified by experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
Prepare & submit VAT returns for a range of clients.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Prepare financial management reports.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes.
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.
AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience
Experience of working in a practice environment is essential
