Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a highly regarded Top 10 firm of chartered accountants in Holywell who are now looking to add a Bookkeeper to their growing team.

The workload will be varied with the successful person gaining exposure to a wide array of clients for whom you will be assisting with their bookkeeping needs, management accounts and VAT as well as processing payroll.

You will take a hands-on role in the completion of client bookkeeping, preparing and submitting VAT returns, and processing client payroll.

You will be a confident in all aspects of bookkeeping and will have experience in the use of online accounting software including Xero, Quickbooks, or Sage.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, Part Qualified or may be qualified by experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.

Prepare & submit VAT returns for a range of clients.

Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.

Process client payroll

Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.

Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.


AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience

Experience of working in a practice environment is essential
