Specialist accountancy practice recruitment consultants Clark Wood are working with a prominent and well-known, nationally renowned firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit Senior / Audit Executive to the team in their Reading office.

As an Audit Senior / Audit Executive you will undertake a challenging role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role involves leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a broad array of businesses including stand-alone limited companies, group structured entities, international and listed clients among others.

You will take a lead role on each assignment you are involved with, having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff, ensuring that the firm’s excellent service standards are always maintained.

Whilst the role will be focused towards the completion of audit work, the successful person will be given the opportunity to have some involvement with interesting advisory projects, providing support to partners and managers as required.

The position will be based in the firm’s Reading office with the client base consisting of a host of genuinely interesting and industry leading businesses from a diverse array of sectors across the Thames Valley region.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified or will be close to completing their studies and will have significant experience of leading audit assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Ensure th delivery of audit services in line with pre agreed budgets and timescales
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Complex accounts preparation and review for limited companies and groups


ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
