Audit Senior - Blackburn

A growing firm in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their team. This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who can manage audits from planning through to completion, support junior staff, and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all audit sections on smaller, less complex audits, from planning through to completion.
Allocate work to junior team members, clearly explaining objectives and methods.
Review the work of junior staff to ensure quality and accuracy.
Manage complete audit sections on larger audits, including complex areas such as stock, deferred tax, and related party transactions.
Complete planning sections and prepare going concern reviews.
Act as the main point of contact for smaller audits, resolving client queries efficiently.
Prepare high-quality analytical reviews and more complex tax computations.

Required Skills and Attributes:
Ability to motivate, support, and guide staff effectively.
Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and professional scepticism.
Competence in negotiation, pricing, and conflict resolution.
Ability to manage projects and resources efficiently.
