Specialist accountancy practice recruitment consultancy Clark Wood are working with a distinguished, nationally regarded firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit Senior to the team in their Uxbridge office.
As an Audit Senior here you will undertake a varied and challenging role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role involves leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a broad array of clients including stand-alone limited companies, group structured entities, and listed businesses among others.
You will take a lead role on each assignment you are involved with having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff, ensuring that the firm’s excellent service standards are always maintained. Whilst the role will be focused towards the completion of audit work, the successful person will be given the opportunity to have some involvement with advisory projects where possible as a means to broaden your own experience. You will also have involvement with the preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax returns.
The position will be based in the firm’s Uxbridge office with the client base consisting of a host of genuinely interesting and industry leading businesses from a multitude of sectors across Greater London.
The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified or will be close to completing their studies and will have significant experience of leading audit assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation and review for limited companies as well as some sole traders & partnerships
ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
