Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with this distinguished, highly reputable firm of chartered accountants in Glasgow who are looking to add an CA / ACCA Qualified Audit Senior to their existing team.

As an Audit Senior here you will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role involves leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a broad array of clients including stand-alone limited companies, group structured entities and international businesses.  

You will take a lead role on each assignment you are involved with having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff, ensuring that the firm’s excellent service standards are always maintained. Whilst the role will be focused towards the completion of audit work, the successful person will also be responsible for the preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements (FRS102 & FRS105) and corporation tax returns.

The ideal candidate will be CA / ACCA Qualified and will have significant experience of leading audit assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation and review for limited companies as well as some sole traders & partnerships

Skills:

CA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
