Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are looking to find an ambitious and driven Audit Senior on behalf of a nationally renowned and illustrious firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add to their Newcastle team.

As an Audit Senior, you will undertake an interesting and challenging role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The position will involve leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a broad array of clients including stand-alone limited companies, group structured entities and listed clients among others.

You will take a lead role on each assignment you are involved with having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff, ensuring that the all work is completed accurately and efficiently in line with the pre-agreed timescales and budgets.

The position will be based in the firm’s office in Newcastle with clients primarily being centred around the city with some occasional travel across the wider Hampshire area being required.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking an audit focused position within practice.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Reviewing accounts preparation for a variety of clients including limited companies, groups, and listed clients

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
