Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with an extremely well regarded and prestigious firm of chartered accountants who are now looking to add an Audit Senior to the team in their Bristol office.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role involves leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a broad array of clients including stand-alone limited companies, group structured entities and listed clients among others.

You will take a lead role on each assignment you are involved with having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff, ensuring that the firm’s excellent service standards are always maintained.

The position will be based in the firm’s office in central Bristol with clients primarily being centred around the city with some occasional travel across the wider South West.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking an audit focused position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for limited companies as well as some sole traders & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
