Clark Wood is working with a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Bristol who are looking to appoint an Audit Partner or Responsible Individual (RI) to strengthen their leadership team and support continued growth across the region.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced audit professional to step into a key strategic position, leading client relationships, overseeing technical audit delivery, and helping shape the future direction of the firm.

The Role:

• Act as RI on a varied portfolio of audit clients across sectors such as owner-managed businesses, groups, charities, and academies

• Lead audit strategy, ensuring high standards of technical compliance and client service

• Build and maintain trusted client relationships at senior level

• Manage and mentor the audit team, supporting professional development

• Contribute to business development and expansion of the audit offering

• Work closely with fellow partners on commercial and strategic matters

About You:

• ACA / ACCA qualified with RI status (or eligible)

• Proven experience at senior audit manager/director or partner level within practice

• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102

• Commercially minded with strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Ability to drive quality and efficiency while maintaining exceptional client service
