Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood, are working with this leading national firm of accountants as they seek to add an experienced and driven Audit Senior to the team in their Birmingham office.

The successful individual will be responsible for leading audit assignments from the planning stage through to completion on a wide array of clients ranging from established UK businesses to large groups and multi nationals from a variety of business sectors.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA / ICAS Qualified and will have gained recent and relevant external audit experience within a reputable and established firm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review, seeking input for areas of concern and judgement
Identifies risk matters and raises with a manager and/or partner, while exercising judgement within agreed parameters
Produce work for the Manager and/or Partner review clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identified
Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements
Review and supervise the work of junior members of staff


ACA / ACCA / ICAS Qualified
Experience of leading audit assignments is essential
