Specialist Public Practice recruiters Clark Wood are currently working with a reputable and prestigious firm of accountants who are looking to add an experienced Audit Senior to join the team in their Edinburgh office.
Our client is an award-winning international firm and can offer the successful individual the opportunity to work with a broad and diverse range of established and well renowned clients.
As an Audit Senior you will be responsible for leading audit assignments from the planning stage through to finalisation on a variety of clients. This will include taking responsibility for the planning, budgeting and staff assignment on each audit as well as supervising the staff to ensure that all targets are successfully met.
Whilst the role will be heavily audit focused, where applicable, you will also be responsible for preparing and/or supervising the preparation of the draft statutory financial statements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare the audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Control the audit in relation to timescales, budgets and risk management procedures
ACA, CA, ACCA Qualified (Part Qualified will also be considered)
Proven experience of leading audit assignments
