Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a prestigious and leading firm of chartered accountants who are keen to add an Audit & Accounts Senior to the team in their Leatherhead office.

Working within this distinguished firm in Leatherhead, you will gain exposure to working with a wide array of clients including large standalone limited companies, group structured entities, and not for profits among others from a wide range of business sectors.

As an Audit & Accounts Senior you will undertake a varied role which will be focused towards audit work with this aspect accounting for approximately 70% of the overall workload. It will see you leading audits from the planning stage through to completion, supervising junior team members and reporting to management. Aside from the audit focused nature of the role, the position will also include the preparation and review of statutory accounts and corporation tax compliance work.

You will be client facing and will be responsible for the management and supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development and providing support and guidance to them where necessary.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the latter stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading external Audit assignments as part of a varied role
