Specialist Accountancy Practice recruiters, Clark Wood, are working with an established and progressive firm of chartered accountants in the Bootle, Merseyside are who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Technician / Accounts Senior to their growing team.

Working as an Accounts Technician / Accounts Senior, the successful individual will undertake a varied role with excellent scope for development. You will have the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of interesting clients which will primarily consist of limited companies but will also include some sole traders and partnerships from an array of industry sectors.

The workload will include the preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax computations, management accounts preparation and the completion of VAT returns and bookkeeping work.

The successful candidate will have excellent experience of working in a varied general practice position including Accounts preparation and Tax compliance work. Existing practice experience is essential and candidates may be ACA / ACCA Qualified, AAT Qualified, or Qualified by Experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of limited company statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts
Preparation of VAT returns
Completing bookkeeping for clients
Dealing with HMRC correspondence
Reporting to managers and partners

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or AAT Qualified
QBE candidates will also be considered
Experience of working in practice is essential
