Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with an established and modern firm of Chartered Accountants in Liverpool who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Technician / Accounts Senior to their personable and professional team.

As an Accounts Technician / Accounts Senior your role will be varied but will predominantly consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The workload will include the preparation and review of both statutory and management accounts as well as personal and corporate tax compliance and VAT work.

This role offers the incumbent an excellent level of responsibility and autonomy as the successful candidate will work towards having responsibility for their own portfolio of clients as well as being involved in the supervision of junior members of the team.

Experience of working within practice is essential and the ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, may have already begun their ACA / ACCA studies, or may be ACA / ACCA Qualified already.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involvement with business advisory work

Skills:

AAT Qualified, ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
