Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a distinguished and progressive firm of accountants in Warwick who are now looking to add an Accounts Technician to their team.

As an Accounts Technician you will undertake a varied role which will see you preparing year-end and management accounts for a variety of clients as well as completing bookkeeping and VAT returns.

Aside from these activities you will have the opportunity to gain some involvement in more niche areas of work including R&D Tax and assisting senior staff with due diligence work on occasion.

You will gain exposure to working with a variety of clients, primarily SMEs, from a range of business sectors including Film, Media, Music, Medical, and Transport among others.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, Qualified by Experience, or may be working towards their ACA qualification. Experience of working in a varied practice role is essential.

Forming part of a small team, you must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be directly liaising with clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Completing Bookkeeping work and preparing VAT returns
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package

Skills:

AAT Qualified, QBE, or ACA Part Qualified
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
