Accounts Supervisor/ Assistant Manager - Birmingham

Are you an ambitious and driven Accounts Senior/ Client Manager - based in Birmingham, West Midlands - who is looking to take the next step in their development within practice?

The ideal candidate would be an Accounts Senior/ Assistant Manager with a varied general practice background encompassing preparing and reviewing statutory accounts & management accounts, overseeing & growing a client portfolio, staff management and business development.

As a Supervisor/ Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of small-medium business clients and will act as first point of contact to those clients on behalf of the firm. You will be charged with ensuring the efficient and accurate completion of the year-end accounts process for each of your clients through the preparation, review and finalisation of statutory accounts as well as preparing for each year-end accounts meeting thoroughly.

You will assist in the development of junior staff through delegating work to them, reviewing it once completed and being on hand to assist and offer guidance where required.

As both client contact and some degree of staff management is key to the position, individuals must have excellent communication skills and be adept in dealing with individuals at all levels.

The ideal candidate for the role will be ACA / ACCA Qualified and will have relevant and recent experience of working within a Business Services or Accounts focused role in practice (individuals at the latter stages of their studies will also be considered). Prior experience of managing a portfolio of clients would be beneficial however it is not essential.

The candidate would ideally be commuting from in and around the West Midlands area; Central Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Redditch and Worcestershire etc.

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist (Qualified by Experience candidates with significant practice experience will be considered)
Experience of undertaking a Business Services or Accounts focused role in practice is essential
