Accounts Senior - Stockport

Specialist Accountancy Practice recruiters Clark Wood are working with a leading independent firm of chartered accountants in central Stockport who, as a result of continued growth, are seeking to recruit an ambitious Accounts Senior to join their team.

The successful candidate will have excellent experience of working in a varied general practice position including Accounts preparation and Tax compliance work. 

Candidates who are ACA / ACCA Qualified those at the final stages of their studies will both be considered

Working as an Accounts Senior, the successful individual will undertake a varied role with excellent scope for development. You will have the opportunity to gain responsibility for your own portfolio of interesting clients which will primarily consist of limited companies but will also include some private individuals and partnerships from an array of industry sectors. 

The workload will be varied with this is being very much a general practice role. It will include the preparation and review of both year-end accounts and tax returns, management accounts preparation and the review of VAT and bookkeeping work completed by junior staff.
