Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a highly reputable firm of accountants in Derby who are looking to add an ambitious Accounts Senior / Client Manager to join their team where you will work on a broad range of clients.

Our client is looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to undertake a varied and challenging position in which you will have the responsibility for managing your own diverse portfolio of clients.

The workload will be varied and will include the preparation and review of both year-end and management accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships as well as the completion of the associated tax compliance work. You will also be responsible for undertaking and reviewing bookkeeping work for clients as well as completing VAT returns

Excellent communication skills and a personable and professional client facing manner are a pre-requisite for this position as you will have the responsibility of dealing directly with clients, maintaining and building both exiting and new client relationships.

The ideal candidate may be ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist and will have strong experience of dealing with a diverse array of clients within a practice setting.

Duties & Responsibilities

Client management
Preparing year-end accounts for Limited Companies
Preparing Corporation Tax computations
Management accounts work including use of online accounting software
Ad hoc special assignment work
Working closely with the partners
Assisting and training junior members of the team

Skills & Experience

ACCA / ACA Qualified or Finalist with strong experience
Experience of working in practice is essential
